Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process:

Articles submitted to the Krisnadana Journal (Computer, Control Systems, & Networks) will undergo two review processes: pre-review and review. The pre-review process is conducted by the chief director and includes:

  1. Focus and Scope: Submitted articles must align with the focus and scope of the Krisnadana Journal (Computer, Control Systems, & Networks). If an article does not fit the scope, it will be rejected.
  2. Plagiarism: Plagiarism and similarity checks are performed using Google Scholar and Plagiarism Checker X with a maximum score of 15%. Articles with a similarity of 15% or more will be returned to the authors for revision.
  3. References: The references used in the article must include a minimum of 10 references consisting of 80% primary sources and 20% secondary sources. References should be from the last decade, use IEEE style (complete with Ibid.), and reference management should be done using MENDELEY software.
  4. Template: The submitted articles must follow the template of the Krisnadana Journal (Computer, Control Systems, & Networks). Articles will be returned to the authors if not adjusted to the template. The time for revising the article is 7 days, and the author may resubmit it afterward.

If all three components of the review process are met, the article will proceed to be reviewed by the reviewers through the editor. The substantive review is conducted by two reviewers in a Double-Blind Peer Review. Reviewers may provide recommendations such as:

  1. Accept Submission: The article is accepted for publication without substantive revisions.
  2. Revision Required: Minor revisions are needed; the article is sent back to the author for revisions (once revisions are submitted, the article may be accepted for publication).
  3. Resubmit for Review: The article requires major revisions. After revisions by the author, the article is sent back to the reviewers for further review (up to three times resubmit). If the article still lacks substantive accuracy after the fourth review, the reviewer is allowed to recommend Decline Submission.
  4. Resubmit Elsewhere: The article is deemed not suitable substantively and is suggested to be submitted to another journal.
  5. Decline Submission: The article is rejected by the reviewer for two reasons, (1) the reviewer rejects for a reason unrelated to the substance of the article, then the article is sent to another reviewer. (2) The article is substantively considered not fit for publication in the journal.

Timeline for Article Process in the Krisnadana Journal (Computer, Control Systems, & Networks):

The pre-review process takes about 3-7 days. Authors have one week to revise the article in the pre-review stage. If the author has not revised the article by then without any statement, then the chief director has wasted effort, and the article will be rejected. The review process by the reviewers takes about two weeks per round. The number of rounds in the review process depends on the reviewers' recommendations. Authors are given one week to revise the article from the reviewers, and if the author does not submit revisions within the specified time without any statement, then the editor and reviewers have wasted effort, and the article may be decided to be rejected.

The duration from article submission to the production stage is detailed in the following diagram.
