Agrotourism Development Policy in Petang District and Abiansemal District, Badung Regency, Bali Terminal

Purpose: This study aims to determine the commodities and potentials that are the mainstay of subaks in the Abiansemal and Petang Districts of Badung Regency, Bali.
Research methods: The design of this study is a quantitative descriptive method that uses secondary data from the Profile of the Tourism Office and BPS of Badung Regency.
Findings: The main focus of policy in Petang District is the integration of environmental conservation, integrated agriculture, and sustainable tourism through the development of Special Promotional Tourism Attraction Areas (KDTWKp) such as Pelaga and Belok Sidan. This strategy includes protecting protected forests, developing community forests, controlling the use of space, and improving supporting infrastructure such as agro-tourism access roads and community-based tourism facilities. Meanwhile, Abiansemal District does not prioritize agro-tourism because it focuses more on sustainable food agricultural land, urban development, and cultural preservation. Agro-tourism activities in Ayunan Village are permitted with strict conditions to maintain environmental quality and food security.
Implication: The approach to developing agrotourism in both sub-districts is adjusted to the characteristics of the region, with Petang Sub-district emphasizing nature-based tourism and integrated agriculture while Abiansemal Sub-district prioritizes agricultural stability and urban development. Implementation of integrated agrotourism development policies with environmentally friendly principles will maintain the balance of the environmental ecosystem.
